The Engineer Behind the Storefronts

I'm a Lead Shopify Developer and Full Stack Web Engineer with 10+ years of experience developing websites and over 6 years specialising in Shopify. I've built and customised e-commerce solutions ranging from single-product stores to enterprise platforms supporting complex workflows and high order volumes.

I specialise in Shopify development, building and extending Shopify 2.0 stores through advanced Liquid development, custom sections and blocks, custom app development, Shopify Functions, Admin and Storefront API integrations, third-party API connections, webhooks, ERP integrations, product data architecture, and bespoke e-commerce workflows, as well as headless storefronts built with Shopify Hydrogen.

I hold an MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics and a BSc in Software Engineering, pairing solid engineering fundamentals with AI and data-driven approach to solving complex commerce challenges.

Simply Returns: Shopify Public App

In Progress

Building Simply Returns, a multi-tenant Shopify app letting customers self-serve returns via a Theme App Extension, with a prepaid Royal Mail label emailed once a merchant approves the request. Merchants manage custom return reasons, storefront branding and scheduled reporting from an embedded Admin app, billed via Shopify subscriptions with tiered caps and a free trial. Solves Shopify's protected-customer-data limits by collecting only what's needed from the customer.

Shopify Headless Commerce

Fullerton Group Uniform Hub: Headless Shopify Storefront

Built a custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront serving three security-industry brands, Professional Security, Armatus and Bridgegate Security, from one shared Shopify backend. Each brand resolves from a URL path segment, with shared routes swapping header, footer and theming per-brand. Also built a restricted trade ordering channel, a pay-in-full vs. pay-in-instalments toggle with no third-party app, and a monthly auto-rotating password gate for employees only.

Dip and Doze: Bespoke Dynamic Storefront

Designing and building Dip and Doze's new bespoke Shopify store from the ground up: dedicated landing pages with dynamic sections and blocks rendered through metaobjects and metafields, giving full control over layout. The product form supports dynamic variant-level add-on products, plus size and colour siblings for easy cross-navigation between related variants. Sale automations, also powered by metaobjects, update the whole site for the exact time period of a sale.

Full-Stack Website

Behrens Group: Full-Stack Website

Designing and building the Behrens Group's enterprise website from the ground up: a fully bespoke build with multiple landing pages for the group's different businesses, all managed through a custom-built admin panel that lets content be updated without touching the source code. Built from scratch with React and Tailwind CSS, hosted on Cloudflare Pages for complete control over performance and architecture, with blog publishing and form submissions handled through Cloudflare Workers.

Shopify 2.0

Shopify App

WPBSA: Official Snooker Store & Phone App Integration

Designed and built the Official Snooker Store for WPBSA on Shopify, connected to the ERP system for order, inventory and fulfilment management. I also built a real-time single sign-on bridge between the store and WPBSA's new Play Snooker app, so app users shop without logging in twice. A custom API syncs PlayPlus membership status the instant it changes, automatically applying the 10% subscriber discount, replacing a $149/mo app that only updated status at login.

Shopify 2.0

Merch Team: Multi-Vertical Storefronts

Built and maintain multiple storefronts, including The Hybrid Games, Valor, Sale Sharks, The Sugar House and LUSU, all hosted on a single Merch Team Shopify store. Each one looks, feels and functions like a fully independent store, with its own theme, custom sections and logic (All of them run their own custom cart flows), while session handling keeps shoppers locked to the storefront they landed on. Every storefront still syncs back to the same ERP behind the scenes.
